Following their Collective Worship, where the Ethos Group told the school about the importance of the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, they have been collecting donated gifts and items from their classes. The Ethos group met today to fill up their 6 boxes, 1 for each age group for a boy and a girl. There were some lovely items from essential toiletries to stationary and toys and games. It is great to see the children so keen to help others who are less fortunate than themselves.
This week Mr Norton came and took our Collective Worship.
We played a game where we tried to remember things on a plate. Some of us were really quick!
We thought about our earliest memories. He brought in mementoes of his life and talked about how these help him to remember special times in his life. He also brought a poppy and shared with us his thoughts on Remembrance and how Jesus died for us. We finished off with a song and a prayer.
