Cornwood C of E Primary School

Ethos Council

Ethos Council 2025-26

The Ethos Council helps our school to live out its Christian values in all that we do. We work together to ensure that learning, worship, and daily life reflect the love of God. Through our values, we strive to make our school a place where everyone feels valued and included. We help to plan and lead collective worship, encourage reflection and prayer, and look for ways to serve others through charity and community projects. Together, we aim to help both adults and children flourish as part of a loving family where we learn to be the best versions of ourselves. By celebrating our identity, we seek to make our school a community where we inspire learning, our values shape lives, and we live out our vision to be the best version of ourselves.

Our Aims for this year:

  • To lead Harvest Festival
  • To lead the service at the memorial for Remembrance day
  • To organise the school making a Christmas cake and share the meaning behind it. Christmas Cake for the child
  • To design the Christmas tree for the church
  • To raise some money for a children’s charity
  • To make contact with a Church in another country
  • To work with the church on things that both the school and the Church can do to promote net zero
