Welcome to Moorsway! I am incredibly proud to be Acting Executive Headteacher of our three small primary schools: Cornwood C of E Primary School, The Erme Primary School and Shaugh Prior Primary School. Moorsway is a hub of three schools within our wider federation, Exe Valley and Moorsway Federation. 

The schools within Moorsway are all either former or existing village schools, and are proud of heir individual histories, each having its own unique identity. We operate as a hub within the wider federation, with our own hub of governors that feed into the full governing board. The Moorsway Hub has a strong leadership team comprising of an Executive Headteacher/ Head of School and two additional Heads of School.

As our vision states, we are all about ensuring that our pupils thrive no matter what their starting point and are able make the progress that is best for them. Our schools are situated within a close distance of each other on the edge of Dartmoor - a fantastic environment within which to learn. We work hard to offer our children the highest possible standard of teaching and learning, and pride ourselves on providing a friendly, caring, family environment within which children can flourish.

I am lucky enough to lead a team that is committed to children's well-being, achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for all in our care.  Staff, supported by governors, work hard to deliver a rich and challenging curriculum; to prepare children for future education; and to help them acquire the skills and enthusiasm needed to embrace the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. 

We seek to stimulate the love of learning in our children so that they want to learn for themselves and achieve the very best of their abilities. Every child is valued as an individual and encouraged to do their best within a setting where they are happy, well cared for and encouraged to care for others.
